Emilia Mårtensson is a London based Swedish vocalist and composer of considerable repute. After her three latest album releases Emilia has built a well- deserved reputation as one of the most exciting vocalists on the UK Jazz scene and she was awarded ‘Vocalist of the Year-2016′ at The Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Her gently expressive voice and highly personal compositions are firmly rooted within the folklore and countryside of her native southern Sweden, adding to the mystique and allure of a distinctive and truly original artist.

Caffe Concerto are incredibly proud to be welcoming the incredibly talented Emilia Mårtensson. She is a London based Swedish vocalist and composer of considerable repute. After her three latest album releases Emilia has built a well- deserved reputation as one of the most exciting vocalists on the UK Jazz scene and she was awarded ‘Vocalist of the Year-2016′ at The Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Her gently expressive voice and highly personal compositions are firmly rooted within the folklore and countryside of her native southern Sweden, adding to the mystique and allure of a distinctive and truly original artist.

Accompanying her tonight is the award winning Adam Waldmann. Graduating from Trinity College of Music and receiving the award for Outstanding Student from the Jazz Faculty in 2006, distinctive saxophonist Adam Waldmann is now best known for being leader of the MOBO Award nominated band Kairos 4tet. Waldmann has performed with scores of famous names: Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson, Jules Buckley and Jim Hart to name a few.

And finishing off the remarkable trio is Matt Robinson from Snowpoet. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and was awarded the Edwin Samuel Dove prize and a Yamaha Jazz Scholarship upon graduation in 2012.Since then, Matt has performed and recorded with many leading musicians on the UK scene and is a member of several regularly performing bands including Snowpoet, Flying Machines, Nick Costley-White Quartet, Fini Bearman Group, Sam Rapley's Fabled and Corrie Dick Group.
